Joseph Malouf has lived in Texas his entire life. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he played football and attended pharmacy school. Joseph graduated from The University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1984. During his tenure at UT, Joseph received the Sheftal Award for outstanding pharmacy student; The A.Ph.A. After graduation, Joseph practiced as a pharmacist for several years before deciding to attend law school.
In 1991, Joseph graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law. While attending Texas Tech, he was an active member in the Student Bar Association, Volunteer Law Student Association, Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, Board of Barristers, and served as Vice-Chairman for Trial Advocacy.
Since 1991, Joseph has called Houston his home. He brings 25 years of personal injury experience to the Stern Law Group. Over the course of his career, Joseph has represented thousands of clients and recovered millions of dollars in complex civil litigation cases including wrongful death, medical malpractice, drug product liability, professional negligence, premises liability, product liability, maritime injuries, nursing home negligence, workplace injuries, 18-wheeler accidents, deceptive trade practices, insurance bad faith, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, probate litigation, and contractual disputes. In addition to practicing in all county and state district courts in Texas, Joseph is also admitted to practice in the Southern District and Eastern District Federal Courts.
Aside from the practice of law, Joseph has always had a passion for sports and was once a certified NFL and NBA sports agent. In addition to representing professional football and basketball players, Joseph has represented several members of the U.S. Men’s Olympic Gymnastics Team. His fondness for athletic competition also feeds his passion to coach and develop young athletes. Over the last decade, Joseph has coached football and track at the middle school and high school levels. He is a USA Track & Field certified coach. Currently, his extra time is spent as an assistant varsity football and track coach at St. Thomas High School, where his team recently won the TAPPS 5A State Track & Field Championship (2016) and have been state semi-finalists in football the past 2 years (2014, 2015).
Joseph’s daily reminder comes from the Book of Isaiah 1:17 – “Learn to do right! Seek justice, Encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the Fatherless, Plead the case of the Widow.”
